How does a fabric preorder work?

✨ At 3am Threads, we run a fabric preorder every second month — each one with a unique theme and a huge range of stunning prints from talented artists all around the world.

Here’s how it works:

🧵 You choose the prints you love (or email us your own seamless design if you choose a Print Your Own product)

🧵 You choose the fabric base that suits your project

🧵 If applicable, choose your scale from the dropdown (how big the print is - each print should have a ruler to give you an idea of how big the elements on the print are. If you really want a much smaller or much bigger size, feel free to email us and let us know the size you'd like one of the pictures on the print to be after you order)

🧵 Your fabric is printed and sent out to you in 6–12 weeks of the preorder close date shown in the banner on our site (we generally end up with a turnaround of 6-7 weeks, but like to give a little more leeway in case of shipping delays etc)

That means less waste, more flexibility, and way more room for personalisation of your projects.

By printing what people actually want to use (and keeping only a very small amount of in stock fabric in our more popular prints), we keep our textile footprint lower — and give you more freedom to get the fabric you actually want!
